A life-long obsession with growing flowers has led Pom Shillingford to spend over a decade creating a “proper” English garden, teeming with life and variety and shaped entirely by Nature, at the crossroads of the Hudson Valley and the foothills of the Berkshires. Her mission now is to pass on its floral beauty through sharing, arranging and helping others to grow their own seasonal, garden-to-vase flowers.
Cut Flowers
Founded on the desire to share their joys as Nature intended and to be a source of flowers grown and supplied with the minimal impact to our planet, English Garden Grown provides in-season flowers for any occasion. Be it for seasonal subscriptions, wholesale flowers for local collection or to fulfill floristry commissions, all English Garden Grown flowers are nurtured with love and concern for the planet as much as the flower itself – sustainably, responsibly and at the hand of Mother Nature.
Floristry
From a simple hand-tied bouquet, to weekly arrangements to celebrations and special events, English Garden Grown’s floristry services aim to capture the beauty of the seasons in designs that mirror the magic of Nature’s own hand. Much of the flowers and foliage is grown here in the garden. What is not, is either gently and responsibly foraged from our surrounding landscape or sourced from fellow local flower growers in the Hudson Valley.
Garden Design
Helping others design, create and tend productive flower gardens that are beautiful, abundant and in sync with Mother Nature is at the heart of English Garden Grown’s garden design services. Sharing knowledge and enthusiasm in equal measure, the goal is to give clients both the canvas and confidence to make their outside space a productive flower-filled, nature-rich haven.
